Today’s Markdowns
Check out our new YouTube video for this tutorial too:
The Today's Markdowns pages are populated with the items that are actively being marked down in the greatest number of stores each day. Why is that important? If these items are getting marked down in multiple stores across the country, there’s a good chance that one of your local stores might be included in this markdown or that they might be included soon. Since they are being widely marked down nationwide, there’s a decent chance that these deals are being noticed by others -- so you may want to act quickly to ensure that you get the deals before they're gone. If they haven't dropped in price in your local stores, it would be a great idea to set a Local Inventory Alert for the item to have us notify you when it does drop in price locally.
As a quick reminder, the total amount of deals that are visible in the Today’s Markdowns pages do vary by membership level, with Extreme members seeing more items than Premium members.
Accessing Today’s Markdowns
Let’s take a look at the Today’s Markdown pages so that you can learn how to use them to help you find great deals.
To access any of the Today’s Markdown pages from a desktop browser, you’ll first have to hover over the Members Area menu, then hover over Today’s Markdowns, and then select a retailer. Due to popularity, we’ll use Today's Markdowns from Walmart in our examples.
Viewing Today’s Markdowns
Now that you’re viewing the page, you’ll notice each deal is located in its own tile. The tile includes the name of the item; the lowest commonly found price; the MSRP; and three dots in the upper left corner. These deals are sorted in order of the greatest number of stores that dropped the price of that item within the last day. Therefore, the order of these deals may change throughout the day as more stores mark down prices on their own schedules.
Deal Tiles
If you hover your cursor over the three dots, additional information is provided for each item, including the SKU; the total percentage of stores with the item in stock; the percentage of stores with the item priced lower than the MSRP; links to check local inventory; the item's Pricing Records; and the BrickSeek Snapshot page. If you’re an Extreme member, you’ll also have the option to hide this item from your feed.
Page Navigation
Now that you’re getting familiar with the Today’s Markdowns page, it’s time to scroll through these deals to find items that interest you and to check their price and availability near you. When you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page, you will see how many deals are currently being displayed; and you’ll have the option to navigate to the next page, previous page, or to manually input a page number.
Applying Filters
You’ll also see product filters on the left column of this page that will allow you to filter and sort the deals. For example, if you previously saw a deal on a Crayola product on one of these pages and want to find it again, you can apply a Brand filter on the left column to filter the page to display only deals on Crayola products.
